Gent is one of the four "jewels of Flanders" (along with Brugge, Brussels and Antwerp). Gent is located almost halfway between Brugge and Brussels and has a population of about 250,000. Gent (also spelled Ghent - the French spelling, I decided to stay with the more common Flemmish spelling) has a rich history as well as a modern European existance. We stayed in Gent for 16 days. While we were there Glenda's son, Max visited us from Prague, where he has lived for most of the past 15 years. I have divided the pictures up into several groups.
