Glenda and I traveled to Italy in late April of 2005. As luck would have it, long after all the arrangements had been made, it was necessary to select a new Pope. John Paul II passed and the conclave of cardinals gathered to select a new Pope. Lucky for us, they were quick, and by the time we got to Rome, the Vatican Museum was open for business. We spent a few days in the Lake Como area and then went by train to Rome. We had three nights in Rome and then another train to Florence for three nights and then Venice for three nights. From there we took a train through the Swiss Alps. I broke the pictures down into smaller groups. This is mostly pictures with a few comments.
