Walking the Perfect Square
Reed Farrel Coleman
This one slipped through the cracks. I am not sure how I learned of this author, I think from a newsletter from the Stop You're Killing Me web site. This site lists mystery writers and their books in the order they were published. It is a great reference! Anyway, this book is highly recommend. The narrator is an ex New York City cop, familiar territory, but with a difference. He is Jewish, not Irish, and the story takes place in 1978. It's a missing persons story, but again with a difference. I liked this book a lot and plan to read the others in the series. This one was published in 2001, and I think the total is up to five. These books are not easy to find. The Dallas Library didn't have a copy, and I had to use the Inner Library Loan to get it, but it was worth the trouble.
